Gradual vaporization or ablation with Lumenis CO₂ lasers is optimized with the SurgiTouch flashscanner. Extremely easy to set-up and operate, it optimizes the laser energy for uniform, layer-by-layer tissue ablation. Beyond simplicity of operation, the SurgiTouch flashscanner yields good clinical results through the use of a patented microprocessor-controlled technology. A highly focused CO₂ laser beam is scanned and delivered to the treatment site so rapidly that the tissue is vaporized without carbonization or thermal transfer to surrounding structures. Minimal necrosis and excellent visual control is thus achieved.
