Holmium:YAG Laser Lithotripsy of Intrahepatic Biliary Calculi

The holmium:YAG laser has been used effectively for a wide variety of urinary calculi. No cases have been reported of its in vivo use in the biliary system. In this report, we describe its utility in intracorporeal lithotripsy of intra-hepatic biliary stones and the urologist's role in providing expertise in small-caliber endoscopy and lithotripsy to other disciplines.
